James Edward Mahaffey, 84, of Memphis, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his home. Mr. Mahaffey was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church and retired from Autozone. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie L. Mahaffey, his daughter, Rhonda Kay Mitchell, and his son, James Garland Mahaffey. Mr. Mahaffey is survived by his wife, Willie W. Lepard Mahaffey, his daughters, Ramona E. Holbrooks (Terry) and Carol Cobb, his son, Tony Mahaffey (Tammy), his step-son, Tommy Lepard (Terri), as well as ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, November 23, 2014 from 4:30pm-6:30pm and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2pm, all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis.
