James Carlos Nelson, Sr. 86, Passed away March 28, 2017. He was born December 30, 1930 to the late Marion and Angelina nelson. James graduated from Tech High in 1949 then served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was retired from MLG&W and a member of New Life Church. James was fun loving and will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Kathryn Nelson, daughter Myrna Garner, sons, Steve Nelson and Carl nelson Jr. sister Lenora Fritz, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm, Friday, March 31, 2017 at Family Funeral Care with services to begin at 2 pm the same day. Burial will be private.
