Jean S. Massey

Jean S. “Memaw” Massey, 87, of Brighton, TN, passed away April 15, 2014. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, and funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, in Memphis. Interment will follow in the R.H. Munford Cemetery in Covington, TN. Mrs. Massey retired from E.H. Crump Insurance, and most recently she has been serving as a caregiver for the elderly. Jean was a member of Clopton United Methodist Church, and she loved dogs and travelling. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Massey. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Massey Trotter; 3 sons, William Glenn Massey, Stephen D. Massey, and Gregory Massey (Betty); 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
