Jewel Marie Smith, 93, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2016. Marie as she was known, was a former member of St. Anne Catholic Church on Highland. She was a unit secretary at the Kennedy Hospital on Getwell as well as the VA Hospital in Memphis, retiring in the early 1970's.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Leon Smith in 2004; her son, James Leonard Smith in 1971 and her daughter, Carol Marie Smith in 2006. Mrs. Smith leaves two grandchildren: Sandra Nicole Storms and James Walter Koller, one great-grandchild, Anjana Caroline Koller and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 1-2pm at Saturday, February 6th at Family Funeral Care with services to follow at 2pm. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
