Jimmy G. Rutherford

Jimmy G. Rutherford, 75, of Brighton, died March 30, 2014. He attended Highland Heights Presbyterian Church. Jimmy had a love for animals, especially his dogs, and enjoyed dancing and having a good time with friends. He loved to be outdoors. He made friends with everyone and never met a stranger. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Judy Forrester Rutherford; sons, Mike Rutherford (Sherry) of Memphis and Steve Rutherford (Kelly) of Falkner, MS; daughters, Wendy Whitfield Jones (Martin) of Topeka, KS and Margie Whitfield Strickland (Paul) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Matt Rutherford, Holly Rutherford, Katy Moss, Kristy Robertson, Tyler Countess, Carolyn Countess and Lauren Jones and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Chapel. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
