JoAnne Tabor Gibson, 76, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 in Memphis. Though we are saddened by her passing, we know she is enjoying a good book in the company of a purring cat. She is survived by one son, David Gibson (Bonnie) of Gainesville, GA; one daughter, Debbie Van Pelt (Kevin) of Grapevine, TX; 4 grandchildren, Beth Garmon, Craig Gibson, Melanie Scott, and Andy Van Pelt; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor Stein; and her nephew, Marc Byrd. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Irene Reed Wightman. The family will receive guest Monday, April 14 from 5 to 7 pm at Family Funeral Care on Summer Ave. A memorial service will take place Tuesday at 10 am at Family Funeral Care.
