She was a member of the Life Church, Memphis. Joann was a retired beautician and Certified Medical Assistant. She was a best friend and loving wife.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charles L. Golightly; three daughters, Tammie Ashburn, Angela Maharrey, and Priscilla Murphy; one son, Charles Allen Golightly; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves several very special friends, Delores Hawkins, Mildred Johnson, and Ellen Graham.
A memorial gathering will be planned in the coming new year.
