Jock Alexander McMurry

Jock Alexander McMurry, 36, died July 3, 2016 at his home in Destin, Florida. Jock was employed by McMurry Construction Company as a Project Superintendent/Project Manager and was building a Hilton hotel project in Destin. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee and attended Germantown Baptist Church in his younger years. He loved Jesus Christ and adored his friends & people. He loved the rodeo, country music, horses and dogs. He is predeceased by his grandparents Thomas E. McMurry and Rose McMurry. He leaves his twin children Madison McMurry and Dylan McMurry of Aubrey Texas, his sister Jessica McMurry, his parents Tommy and Pam McMurry, and his grandparents Charles and Gladys Barham all of Memphis.

The family will receive friends Friday July 8, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday July 9 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar, Memphis, TN with interment to follow at Memphis Memory Gardens. Gifts in memory of Mr. McMurry may be offered to John Bramlett Ministries Inc.
