John F. Cook , 82, of Memphis, passed away on August 28, 2013. He was retired after 37 years from the US Postal Service and an Air Force Veteran. John was a life member of the VFW in Jonesboro and a member of the American Legion in Jonesboro for 56 years. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, stepfather, and brother Dutch Cook. John leaves his loving companion of 29 years Dottie Wood, his daughter Jonna Johanson (Mike), his granddaughter Haven Cheyenne Johanson, a nephew Eddie Cook and a sister in law Sue Cook. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Monday, September 2, 2013, at Family Funeral Care. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR, with burial in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
