John Kenner Elkins

John Kenner Elkins, 49, of Cordova, began his Heavenly journey on Thursday, December 15th, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Elkins; children, Brooke, Austin, Kayleigh and “Baxter;” parents, Tommy and Phyllis Elkins; sister, Janna and her husband Sean Lane; nieces, Kaylie and Kassidy Lane; parents-in-law, Gary and Becky Graves and their son Sam; and many other close family members and friends. John was born and raised in Osceola, Arkansas. He was employed for 10+ years at Madison Group Inc./Power and Telephone Supply Company. John was a triathlete and a widely respected member of Memphis Thunder Racing, having completed numerous races including half marathons, a marathon; and multiple variable distance triathlons including a half Ironman. John enjoyed hunting, loved the outdoors, and everything to do with his Arkansas Razorbacks. GO HOGS! The family cordially invites friends and relatives to share remembrances of Mr. Elkins on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 from five o'clock in the afternoon until seven o'clock in the evening at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. There will be a short time of formal Celebration at six thirty in the evening.
