John Phillip Gunther, 80, died Feb. 8, 2015 of complications resulting from a 30 year battle with dystonia. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jacquelin; 3 children: Jeffrey (Joan), James (Dana), Julie (Michael Sparrow), 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons. Born in Chicago, he lived there and in northern IL until moving to Collierville, TN and then to Kirby Pines Retirement Community. John’s life will be celebrated in a memorial service at 2 pm on Thursday, February 12, at Kirby Pines Chapel, 3535 Kirby Pines Rd., Memphis TN.
