John Milton Hannon, age 79, of Collierville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. He was born January 10, 1943, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Lawrence Milton Hannon and Eugenia Margaret Baker Hannon.
He retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad and served in the U.S. Army with the First Cavalry Division in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Chiles Hannon; daughters, Audrey Elizabeth Jones (Bobby) and Marlena Ellen McClain (Curtis); and grandchildren, Connor Alan Jones, Aeryn Elizabeth Jones, John Hunter Caldwell, and Justin Blake Caldwell.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Tuesday, October 25 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. The funeral service will occur on Wednesday, October 26 at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home. Graveside committal service with military honors will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
