Jack was born in Memphis on December 29, 1929. He retired from Kimberly Clark after 43 years of service.
Jack met Roberta, who was his neighbor, after offering to help walk her dog. Two years later, in 2012, they were married.
In addition to his loving wife, Roberta, and their constant companion, their dog Poppy, Jack is survived by one son, Rusty, and two grandsons, Will and Lars. He was so proud of his grandsons and enjoyed their visits and phone conversations.
The family would also like to thank Sandra Gabriel who with love and devotion cared for Jack, Roberta and Poppy.
The service will be held at Family Funeral Care on Summer Ave in Memphis on Sunday, February 4, with visitation to be held from Noon-2:00 p.m., immediately followed by the service. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
