John Morris Nash

John Morris Nash was born in Rienzi, MS to Archie C Nash and Amy Wood Nash on April 30, 1932. John passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 22, 2015 at the age of 82. John was a true dreamer and optimist to his last day. Most dreamers believe they can change their part of the world, but John truly did. His healing gift and his spirit of giving touched countless hearts and families from the many gifts of coats to the homeless, to the ultimate gift of sharing and teaching the word of God with so, so many. John worked as a realtor in Memphis for more than 40 years, and was the owner of John Nash Reality. John is survived by his loving wife, whom he married in 1955, Sadie Vene Montgomery Nash; son, John Robert Nash (Vicki); grandchildren, Rachel McClain (Matthew) and Robert Nash (Sascha); great grandson, Levi McClain; sister, Doris Collins; and by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Memphis Funeral Home,5599 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 from 5-8pm, Sunday, January 25. Services will begin on Monday, January 26 at 2:30 PM in the Memphis Funeral Home North Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Southwoods on Hacks Cross Road.
