John Henry Roberts, Jr.

John Henry Roberts, Jr. age 87 of Memphis, TN joined his loved ones in Heaven July 21, 2015. John was born in Uniontown, Alabama, Jan. 10, 1928 to Mary and John Roberts. Able to accomplish anything he set his mind to do, John was a gifted musician and poet who viewed life as being involved in a great learning experience and he believed everything is possible with the help of God. His strong Christian faith brought him from polio as a young child to the strong caring man he became, loved by his family and countless friends who were touched by his gentle smile, his wonderful sense of humor and his understanding that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. John worked from many years with Sealtest Dairy, a division of National Dairy Products Corp. (predecessor to Kraft Foods, Inc.) where he rose from door-to-door milkman to District Manager winning many achievement awards along the way. He leaves behind his devoted son, Randy D. Roberts Sr. and daughter-in-law, Debbie Karas Roberts, of Memphis; and his daughter, Helen M. O’Neill and her husband, Rick, of Southaven, MS. He was Papa to his 4 grandchildren, Randy D. Roberts, Jr, Jonathan Roberts, Angelee Roberts, and Patrick O’Neill and his wife McKenzie; and 2 great grandchildren, Carson Roberts and Ryland O’Neill. He also leaves his sister, Barbara Roberts Schneider of Germantown, TN and his brother, Paul D. Roberts, Sr. of Eads, TN. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Angelee Grace Ramos Roberts; his parents; brother, Johnnie Leroy; and sisters, Lucille and Lois. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, beginning at 1:00 p.m., until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue.
