

Rodgers, John “Butch”, 90, went to be with his Lord on January 14, 2013. He was born in Brownsville, TN and was predeceased by his wife Karene Rodgers, parents John and Nannie Rodgers, his brothers Donald Rodgers and Fred Rodgers, and sister Jean Tognetti. He leaves his son Donny Rodgers (Bettye) and grandsons Gregory and Kevin Rodgers both of Chicago, IL., and brothers Dorris K. Rodgers (Peggy) ., and Joyce D. Rodgers (Joan) Halls, Tn. and Billy D. Rodgers (Doris) Munford, Tn.,
John was a decorated U. S. Army World War II veteran serving with the 32nd Red Arrow Division, who retired from the Rock Island Railroad after 29 years of service. John was a member of the former Stonewall Masonic Lodge and a member of the Poplar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church. John will be remembered for his personable character. He knew no stranger and could bring a smile to anyone’s face that came into his life. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30PM until service at 6:30PM Friday January 18, 2013 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN.
