John E. Skaggs

John E. Skaggs, of Memphis, passed away on November 15th, 2018, at the Memphis Jewish Home. He graduated from Southside High School in Memphis. He retired from ITT Continental Wonder Bread, where he worked as a mechanic. He was a member of St. Timothy Methodist Church in Raleigh. John is preceded in death by his parents A. R. and Florence Skaggs, his wife Maxine Skaggs, and his daughter Theresa Anne Skaggs. He is survived by his son Jimmy (Tonya) Skaggs of Germantown, his daughters, Suzanne Landis of Kansas City and Linda (Don) Gibson of Jacksonville, his brother B. T. “Bobby” (Frances)Skaggs of Millington, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services for Mr. Skaggs will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar. Visitation will be November 19th at 11:30 a.m.; with services at 1 p.m. followed a private internment. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Memphis Jewish Home or Crossroads Hospice Care.
