I met Jonathan whilst on tour in the UK with EB in 2011. Absolutely one of the most beautiful souls to walk this earth.

To Sylvia and family….. I first met JonRych at a Boney show.  Such a genuine, fun-loving human dedicated to his Wife, his family and his craft.  His presence is missed but his legacy will live on.  Sylvia, Sis, my heart breaks for you as I know your pain.  Lean on the Lord, your family and friends as you navigate the rest of life’s journey.  Jon loves you and will be watching over you. I met Jonathan in Japan when he was there with Eric Benet. I would always look forward to when they would tour Japan, and I traveled back home from Serbia and Lebanon to go to the shows after I left Japan.
I had a blast every time and would be looking forward to the next tour. I didn’t make it back to the most recent shows - and I’m brokenhearted.

 Jonathan has friends all over the world, many in Japan as well, and he will be missed dearly. 

My thoughts and love go out to his family during this difficult time.

Jonathan Richmond, over the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of knowing you as my friend and neighbor and it has been a joyful and pleasant experience to see you truly enjoy what you loved most in life, playing Instrumental ￼music, you had a remarkable gift for music, whether playing the guitar or the piano, and it was always a delight to witness your passion.

I’ll never forget seeing you on stage with Angie Stone—your talent and dedication were inspiring, and it was clear you were living your purpose. You weren’t just a neighbor, you were a kind and creative soul who left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know you.

To his beloved wife, who is also a dear friend of mine, please know that my heart goes out to you during this incredibly difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope you find strength and solace in the beautiful memories you shared with your husband Jonathan.

To Jonathan’s side of the family, my deepest condolences go out to you as well. I can only imagine how great a loss this is, but I hope you find comfort in the legacy of love, music, and kindness he leaves behind. He touched so many lives with his talent and warmth, and his memory will forever be cherished.

It was always wonderful to experience Jonathan's magic on the keyboard whether it was with Eric Benet or Boney James. He will live on in the memories I have captured over the years.
