It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jordan David Bohl on October 25th, 2024 at the age of 35 years old. Jordan came into this world with a bang on June 12th, 1989 to David and Denise Bohl in Biloxi, Mississippi. Though born in Mississippi, Jordan always considered himself a Texan since his family was born and raised in Austin, Texas.
Jordan was a HUGE Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed watching his teams play Alabama and the Saints with his wife, Taylor, as those are her favorite teams; their house was definitely a house divided. Although Jordan was a Texan through and through, he loved to incorporate his wife’s New Orleans culture into the household, one of many examples to show how much of a caring and considerate person he was to others. Jordan graduated from Cordova High School in 2008 then went on to study culinary arts at Sullivan University. He was a wonderful cook and always enjoyed cooking with his wife. Jordan’s passion for cooking continued throughout his life, but he wanted more and started working at FedEx in 2011, where he served for 13 years until his passing. He worked his way up the career ladder and became a manager in 2020 overseeing several areas at the Memphis world hub. He had a passion for leading and helping individuals find where they belonged, at the company and in life.
In 2005, though never introduced, Jordan and Taylor knew about each other through their mutual friend, Meagan Ray. In 2013, Jordan and Taylor were officially introduced to each other by Taylor’s sister, Kara, at FedEx. At first, Taylor was very adamant she just wanted to be friends with him, but after a month of talking, as friends, she finally caved to him, went on a date, and the rest is history! Jordan proposed to Taylor in September of 2017 in Austin, Texas, and they were married on October 5th, 2018 in Cordova, Tennessee.
In 2022, Jordan and Taylor welcomed their precious baby boy, Holden Austin Lee Bohl, into their lives. He was Jordan’s pride and joy, along with his dogs, Lily and Waffles, and cats, Crookshanks and Nezuko.
Jordans’ parents will miss cooking, talking football, along with the laughter and joy he brought to them. Taylor will miss Jordan’s smile, quick wit, cooking, and the times they would laugh until they cried. But she will miss cooking with him and being a parent with him the most; He was her peace and he will be greatly missed by all.
Joining in the Lord's presence, Jordan was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Dinah Estrada Townsend, grandfather-in-law Thurston Townsend, great-grandparents Frank and Johnnie Bohl, grandfather Frank Butterworth, great uncle Ronnie (Patsy) Bucher, great aunt Evelyn Smoot, and grandmother Johnnie Beasley, and Connie Bucher.
He is survived by his son Holden Bohl, wife Taylor Townsend Bohl, parents Denise and David Bohl, brother Michael (Tara & children) Pipes, father-in-law Rickey Townsend, sister-in-law Kara (Megan Krachen and Julian “Jude”) Townsend, grandmother Carol Butterworth, grandparents Bob (Diane) Bohl, uncles Shawn (Kelly) Bohl, Barron (Nancy) Bohl, Mark and David Butterworth, William (Darleen) Townsend, Charlie (Valerie) Townsend, Robert (Stacey) Townsend, uncle-in-law Gary Estrada, aunt Jennifer (Westley) King, cousins Jared (Saskia) Butterworth, Travis (Grace) Butterworth, Chad (Bridget) Butterworth, Brianne (James) Barger, Audrey (Greg) Bohl, Zach (Elizabeth) Bohl, Leanne (Micheal) Penney, Autumn King, Wyatt King, Noah King, and Kelsi Davidson, Dawn Estrada Douglas (Terry), Curtis Bucher (Susan).

A reception will follow the service. The family asks you do not wear black, but instead wear your choice of blue, green, Longhorns colors (burnt orange/white), or Dallas Cowboys colors (navy blue/silver/white).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you donate to a GoFundMe set up to help Taylor and Holden during this difficult time at
