Joseph Arley Salling III

Joseph Arley Salling III , born to Joseph & Alice, on February 5, 1938 in Memphis, TN, passed Sunday evening, March 22, peacefully in his sleep. Joe never met a stranger and was loved and adored by many. With his wife Barbara, he traveled extensively in his retirement, always looking for the next adventure. While at home, Joe was always the life of the party at the numerous and frequent family celebrations. Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Salling, his beloved dog Julie, six children, sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Joseph (Maria), Madison, Hayden, Logan and Jade. Jennifer (Justin), Kaitlyn (Gavin and son Hayes), Andrew and Alex. Suzanne (Mike), Michael (Jessica and sons Logan and Michael), Sarah, Stephen and Joseph. Laurie (Roger), Liz and Sam (son Liam). Susan, Dalton (Gracie and daughter Caroline). Robin, Sydni Renee and Chance. Joe gave his children the gift of unconditional love and taught them how to love unconditionally. He will be missed dearly by so many. Joe loved his get-togethers and due to these unprecedented times to give him a proper reflection and celebration of his life, the family will have a grand party in his honor as soon as the world heals. Please hold all flowers and donations until the date is announced.
