Karen Morrison Moore

Karen Morrison Moore, a resident of Germantown, Tennessee passed away peacefully on March 22, 2023. She attended East High School for 13 years and graduated from Memphis State University with an Education Degree. Karen taught for the Memphis City Schools and Christ Methodist Day School. She exuded a sense of warmth and care, and the children loved her.

Karen was married to John S. Moore for 52 years and they had two sons Christopher and Michael Moore. John passed away in 2022.

Karen was a woman of strong Christian values. Her steadfast faith in God served her constantly, especially when dealing with life's trials. She was gracious and kind to all people.

Karen was predeceased by her parents, Ruby and Bill Morrison, brother Billy Morrison, brother-in-law Dr. Richard Goodson and husband John Moore. She is survived by her sons Chris and Mike, sister Jean Anne Goodson (Frank Bledsoe), brother-in-law Jimmy Moore, sister-in-law Gay Morrison and five nieces and one nephew.

A memorial service for Karen and John will be held at Germantown Methodist Church, 2331 South Germantown Road, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM. A private burial will be held at the church's columbarium.
