Karen Lewis Willard, age 78, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. She was born April 24, 1946 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to William Grady Lewis and Earlene Ellis Lewis. She attended Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri and taught elementary school for many years in the Memphis area. She later retired from the University of Tennessee, working closely with the Chairmen of Pediatrics at Le Bonheur Hospital for over 35 years. She was a member of Christ Methodist Church.
Karen is survived by her husband of 49 years, Beryl Andrew Willard; siblings, Martha Argenbright, William Grady Lewis Jr. (Sharon), Sabra Nunn, Carole Sue Pendergrass, and James Jerome Lewis (Cathy); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Helen Bradshaw.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 29 from 11:00 AM until the memorial service at 12:00 PM, at Christ Methodist Church, 4488 Poplar Avenue, Memphis.
