Kendrick “Kenny” Anderson Holmes, 88, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War on the U.S.S. Antietam. Mr. Holmes was the original owner of Hawaiian Pools for over 30 years. He retired from the Memphis Fire Department as District Chief after 29 years of service and a member of DeSoto Hills Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Polly Holmes. His survivors include his wife of 11 years, Bonnie Chapel Wallace Holmes; daughters, Rebecca Hern, Myra Gill, Mary Helen Lovett; step-daughters, Bonnie Jones, Wanda Siverd, Cindy Reaves; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive guests on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. from 10 to 11 am with funeral service starting at 11 am. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
