Keto Deshawn Wilder

From his early years, Keto’s steady determination and natural ability were evident. He attended Thomastown Attendance Center in Carthage, MS, where he distinguished himself as a gifted athlete, earning many awards in track, basketball, and football. He also drove the school bus during his early years.

Keto worked as a truck driver for many years, a role he genuinely enjoyed. The road suited him: it offered purpose, routine, and the chance to see beyond the familiar. Through his work, he traveled across the continental United States, carrying with him a deep appreciation for the varied landscapes and communities he encountered along the way.

In his personal time, Keto enjoyed walking—simple miles that spoke to a grounded spirit and an unhurried way of being present in the world.

Keto is survived by his mother, Shirley Wilder; sisters, Tanyica Wilder and Tanza Wilder (Bryson); three aunts; and one uncle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, H. P. Wilder, and his sister, Crystal Wells.

Keto Deshawn Wilder will be remembered with respect for the life he lived, the work he did, the kindness that he showed others, and the enduring place he holds in the hearts of those who loved him.
