Larry Dean Allen

Larry “LA” Allen, born 1946, left us for a while, September 22, 2015, at only age 69, not enough time for all the people who loved him most: his wife of 36 years, Mary K. Allen; two daughters, Kimberly (Chris) Lawson and Magen (Matt) Parish; six grandchildren, Stefan Rogers, Blake Allen, Dylan Parish, Makensy Hazelgrove, Garrett Hazelgrove, and Maddie Parish; sisters, Alicia (Howard) King and Caroline (Dale) Stinson.

Larry retired from MLG&W Division after 40 years, served on the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, served in the US Air Force, graduated 1965 from Central High School in Memphis. He loved all sports, played most, and shopped online for everything! LA was a founding member of the Memphis Old #7 Rugby Team. At a later date, a private memorial service will be held on Pensacola Beach, his favorite place to bask in the sun.
