Lauren was born in Memphis, Tennessee to James and Terry Smithson. She enjoyed gardening, collecting miniature keepsakes and gems and loved her dog Lady and cats, Josie and Masey.
Lauren is survived by her mother, Terry Baker Smithson; father James A. Smithson, Jr.; sister, Salina Smithson; brothers Garrett Smithson (Kristen), Jay Smithson (Cathy), Jon Smithson; grandfather, James A. Smithson, Sr.; nieces, Kelsey Smithson, Ariana Smithson, Briana Smithson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Margie Smithson; maternal grandfather, Floyd R. Baker, Sr. and maternal grandmother, Bettye McIngvale Baker.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119.
