Leslie Lewis Owen

Leslie Lewis “Mickey” Owen, 83, of Memphis, passed away January 21, 2013, at King’s Daughters and Sons Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24, beginning at 1 p.m., until the funeral service at 2 p.m., all at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Owen was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was in regional sales and training for 30 years and then went into the printing industry as owner of Owen Printing for an additional 30 years, until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, John David and Lucille Owen; and four siblings. Les is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce T. Owen; three children, Michael Owen, Jeannine Mize (Carl), and Lisa Smith (Ronnie Howard); six grandchildren, Kathy Maxwell (Nic), Christie Owen Parkhurst, Matt Davis, Ryan Mize, Jared Smith, and Cody Smith; and five great- grandchildren. Lasting memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
