Lila Loudean Pyron, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died in Memphis on March 9th from complications related to a fall. She was 93 years old. Loudean was born July 16, 1930, in McNairy County, Tennessee to parents Nola Mae and Thomas Elvin Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Thomas Warren Moore and two sisters, Mary Sue Moore and Edna Louise Moore.
Loudean was a 1948 graduate of Adamsville High School. She married Henry Cecil Droke in 1949 and the couple moved to Memphis. In 1958, their son Jeffery Moore Droke was born.
During her work career, Loudean worked for Sears, Plough and Droke Furniture. She was a member of Eastern Star and St. Stephen United Methodist Church.
She leaves behind a son, Jeffery Droke (Lisa), a granddaughter Allison Erickson (Isaac) and a great-granddaughter Eleanor. She also leaves behind a step-son Tommy Pyron (Cherry) and a step-daughter Nancy Rice as well as two step-grandsons John Pyron and Zachary Rice.
A visitation for Lila will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St Stephen's Methodist Church, 3981 Macon Rd, Memphis, TN 38122. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3981 Macon Rd, Memphis, TN 38122. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134.
