Linda Elise Ferguson Strock, age 72 of Cordova, Tennessee, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 19, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 42 years, David Strock. Linda was born on June 3, 1950, and was the cherished daughter of the late Claude Louis Ferguson and Virginia McQuiston Ferguson.
She was a kindergarten teacher for 32 years and was loved by all of her students. She always said they were the children she never had and she loved them dearly. She has stayed in contact with many of them through the years.
Linda was a lifelong member of Providence Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and loved teaching the little ones about Jesus. Many have come to know the Lord by the example she set. She was always doing for others and enjoyed giving people her little "happies", as she called them. She took meals to the homebound and was forever putting others first before herself. Linda was truly the Proverbs 31 woman and while she was on this earth, she was a faithful servant that God used in many ways. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, David Strock; a sister, Judy Mills and husband Roger Mills of Mobile, Alabama; a step-daughter, Ann Strock of Memphis, Tennessee; and a grandson, Matthew Strock of Memphis.
Visitation for Linda will be held, on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119. A second visitation will be held, on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM, also at Memphis Funeral Home.
