

A memorial service for Lindsey Erin Proctor will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at M.J. Edwards F.H. Stage Road Chapel, 4445 Stage Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38128. A graveside service will occur Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133.
Lindsey Erin Proctor was born March 23, 1987, in Memphis Tennessee, the daughter of John Calvin Proctor and Lois Proctor. She departed this beautiful life on January 27, 2021, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Lindsey’s spiritual journey began at an early age and she was baptized at the age of 10(ten) at First Baptist Church Chelsea, in Memphis, Tennessee where she was a member of the choir and remained faithful.
Lindsey graduated from Cordova High School in 2005. After graduation she was a big sister for the Big Sister and Big Brother Corporation. Lindsey attended Southwest Tennessee Community College in the field of Hospitality Management. With many health complications she was able to earn an Associate Degree in Hospitality Management on May, 2010. Lindsey decided to further her education by attending the University of Memphis Kemmons Wilson Culinary Institute. She was scheduled to graduate in May 2021. She will receive her degree posthumously from UofM in May.
Lindsey was a Posterchild for LeBonheur Children Hospital in which the staff fell in love with her beautiful joyous spirit. At the age of 6 (six) Lindsey went to Sickle Cell Camp in which she met some of her closest friends: Starsha, Cody, Ebony, George and the late Chip She also participated in a press conference with the Late “B B King” regarding Sickle Cell Disease. While fighting her Disease she was selected to go to Hawaii for the “Make a Wish Foundation’. She also received a plaque in honoring Sickle Cell Disease from the Red Birds in Memphis Tennessee.
In 2013, Lindsey worked for Shelby County Nutritionist Center as a Cafeteria Manager until her health failed and thoroughly enjoyed serving the students faculty and working with her co-workers.
Lindsey enjoyed her life to the fullest and never complained about anything. She loved to smile and encourage others while fighting her own battle. She loved to travel and was always planning a trip.
Lindsey was a loving and compassionate mom and person who loved to be silly and loved to hang out with her friends and family laughing and telling stories. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul.
Lindsey, had many nick names that her father and others gave her such as “Rug Rat, Rug’em, Linna Mama, Linna Poo, TicTok Queen and Domino Queen. Lindsey was a very strong, beauty, powerful Sickle Cell Warrior. She was fiercely loyal to her friends and family. We will always remember her infectious smile, loving eyes and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. Those who knew Lindsey, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
Later on, in life after not working and going on numerous trips to Vanderbilt Hospital and the Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee: Lindsey asked herself a question, how can I work and help people feel better about themselves at the same time? So, she thought about the beauty business and that is how Proctor $ Company came to Life. She stated that she loves making people happy and feeling confident about themselves. It gives her Life and Energy! Her small business was Proctor and Company in which she was creative marketer and CEO. Her products ranged from Eyelashes, Make up, to sun glasses. That was not enough for Lindsey - so she started making customized dominoes for NBA, and NFL Teams, sororities and College Logos.
Lindsey leaves to cherish her precious memories to her loving and intelligent daughter Lydia Stafford; her parents John Calvin Proctor (Lois) Memphis, Tennessee; a brother Marcus Jones USAF (Tonya) , and sister Terrice Coleman (Delvecchio) in Memphis, Tennessee. A host of Uncles, Aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends and close friends.
