Lori’s Life Journey

Lori Lynn Thomas was born June 28, 1962 in Evergreen Park, IL, to John Francis Schuelke and Bertha Caroline Schuelke. She was preceded in death by her dear son, Jonathan Green; four sisters, Mable Urban, Linda Lawson, Sandra Lawson, Florence Lawson, and one brother, Ralph Lawson.

Lori was added to the body of Christ at Wolfchase Church of Christ, in Memphis, TN, where she served faithfully. She was a loving, giving, jovial, and caring Christian woman.

Lori was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was a loyal sister, a kind aunt, and a true friend.

Lori attended Momence High School in Illinois where she was a member of the White Tornado Flag Corp. She was a Sergeant with the Kankakee Auxiliary Police. Lori held various positions at Jewel, Cigna, and the Fibre Drum Company.

Lori had several hobbies and interest such as, bowling, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and watching movies. She loved listening to music, especially, REO Speedwagon. Lori found delight in shopping online and collecting angels. Spending special and tender moments with her beautiful granddaughter, Nora brought her so much joy.

To cherish her memory, Lori leaves her husband of 11 years, Marvin Thomas; one son, Brian Green Jr. (Wendy), one granddaughter, Nora Green from Illinois; two sisters, Caroline Giasson of Illinois and Charlene Cox (Cliff) of Iowa; one brother, Ron Schuelke (Kathy) of Illinois; One brother-in-law, Willie Thomas (Jacqueline) of Lakeland, TN; five sisters-in-law, Phyllis Hudson (Oliver) of Bartlett, TN, Gloria Williams (Lonnie), Deborah Spight, Barbara Thomas, and Eleanor Thomas of Memphis, TN, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
