
Louis George Schalch Jr. was born July 4, 1937 and passed from this life August 30, 2014. He was a man of strong character and pure ethics who mastered a rock solid ability to give and receive unconditional love. The love of his life was his devoted wife of 45 years, Maxine S. Schalch.
Lou was born and raised in Memphis, TN and spent his final years in Olive Branch, MS. The career years of his life were in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a 55 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, he advanced from an apprentice electrician to an outstanding electrical estimator and manager. The companies he worked for included Kutcher & Seevers, Edward W Scott Electric, Crown Electric and Rosendin Electric.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maxine, three children from his first marriage to Patricia Ann Duncan: Louis George Schalch III “Chip” (Cindy) of Cotati, California, Cynthia Schalch Husband of Hailey, Idaho and David Wayne Schalch (Tina) of Novato, CA, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers Stanley J. Schalch and Ronald E. Bomar Jr.
Louis was preceded by his grandmother Alice Jarrett, mother Carolyn Bomar, stepfather Ronald E. Bomar, brother Richard L. Schalch, and sister Alice Adele Schalch.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
