Lynn T Layton

Lynn Todd Layton passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Collierville. Lynn was born, September 28, 1947 in Pontotoc, MS, to Margideen and Sam Todd. A graduate of Mississippi University for Women, Lynn spent most of her career associated with Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Lynn is survived by her daughter, and granddaughters; Michelle; Mallory; and Emily Wagoner. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Louise Todd, two nieces and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Buddy Layton, Jr. The family will receive friends at Second Baptist Church at 4680 Walnut Grove Road at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 with funeral services beginning at 11:00 at the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 Tuesday at Pontotoc Memorial Cemetery in Pontotoc, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Baptist Trinity Hospice House, the Cancer Fund at Baptist Health Care Foundation, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
