Missionary Poe, my spiritual God mother, I miss you so. I'm praying for your family in their loss and their salvation because you would advise me too. May God continues to comfort the family and continue to watch over them. In Jesus Name 

Evangelist  Marilyn Poe will always have a special place in my heart.  Her prayers have kept me saved for 33 years & I  will never forget her.  My prayers are with Nona and Marcus during their time of bereavement. Rest in heaven Mother Poe.

Ms. Marilyn was always so kind to us as children. Although we all were poor and didn't have much, she was always willing to allow us at her lunch or dinner table with her children who were our friends. She also made sure we all went to church and said our grace. She taught so many lessons to us. Rest well Ms. Marilyn!  Thank you for so many lessons and for caring about us as people. I remember her for her famous song on homecoming Sunday. Have thine own way. I always went home and pretending like I was her and singing that song. I always said it would be my theme song and it has been. Continue to hold on to God's unchanging hand family and he will see you through this enduring time of loss. Love you. Dear Nona, Ron, Marcus and family, There is rejoicing in heaven because of Aunt Marilyn's presence. She is happy to be there and God, the angels and the saints are happy to see her. Aunt Marilyn was a great woman of God. She was a prayer warrior extraordinaire who did not hesitate to intercede in prayer for others. We will all miss her so much. She is young again and has no more pain, suffering or sorrow. She will never be sick again, nor will she have to worry about anything. Aunt Marilyn is in heaven, a place of eternal light. She is with God and her family and all is well with her. We're so thankful for the time she was here. We will love her forever. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Marcus and Nona, “To be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord.” Your mother fought the good fight, she finished the race and she kept the faith!  She is now immortal and will never die again! And I heard a great voice from Heaven saying unto me, write blessed are the dead who die in The Lord from henceforth: Yes, saith The Spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them.” Aunt Marilyn, you were a vessel of God’s power, a true prayer warrior who was skilled in the ministry of intercessory prayer.  You knew how to get a prayer through to God.  You knew how to stir God on His throne, you knew how to get a hold to the horns of the altar, in essence,  you knew how to get answers from God!  Aunt Marilyn, when you prayed, lives were changed, when you prayed, people were healed, when you prayed, miracles happened, when you prayed, there were results.

This was truly a woman of God. I always called her my praying cousin. My cousin prayed for me when the doctors said no and today many years later I'm still here. God has chosen to add to His collection, a precious pearl. May your memory of this pearl keep your hearts and minds in perfect peace as she would only want it. I will miss you, and hold your memory close to my heart.

Marilyn was a wonderful loving servant of God. Our family will always cherish her gift of song that she shared at our reunions and at family home going celebrations. I will miss our long telephone calls, where we shared our love of God’s Word. We prayed together and encouraged each other. She spoke often of life eternal. Now I know she is singing forever more in the Hallelujah Heavenly Chorus. Well done, faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
