Marjean Love

Marjean Love, 85, of Cordova, TN, went to "sit at the feet of her Jesus" the day before her birthday on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Marjean was a strong Christian who always witnessed to those around her. She never passed up an opportunity to share the Word of God, whether it was in her Bible study or through her cooking. Marjean was a member at Bellevue Baptist Church and was very involved in the Love Fellowship (The Beehives). Her family, after God, was the most important thing in her life. She could light up the room with her well known smile and uplifting outlook on life. It was because of her faith that she couldn't be troubled or have a heavy heart. Marjean loved to sew, cook, and garden. She was known to have soil upon her hands from her gardening of vibrant and colorful flowers. Marjean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Love and her parents, Renky and Edith McBryde. She is survived by her children, Connie Miller (Barry), Debi Carter (Bruce), Donny Short (Liz), Betsy Ritter (George) and David Short, grandchildren, Devin Afflerbach, Joey Carter (Traci), Wes Carter, Erika Tate (Jeremy), Valerie Short, Clay Short, Lindsay Short, Sarah Love Crawford (Bentley) and Andrew Ritter (Haleigh), six great-grandchildren and many loving friends. The family cordially invites friends to gather and share remembrances of Marjean with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon to eight o'clock in the evening on Wednesday the 3rd of August, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave in Memphis. The Funeral will be on the 4th of August at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, also at the funeral home. The Rite of Committal is to follow.
