Martha Lorrayne Bingham Johnson, 90, of Memphis, passed from this life Wednesday, January 7th, 2015 at Signature Health Care. Mrs. Johnson was born April 17, 1924, in Alcorn County, MS to the late Joseph and Hattie Lentz Bingham. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lester Johnson, Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Mallott, Patty Worley, son, Lester Johnson, Jr., sister, Mary Bynum, brother, Eural Bingham, grandchildren, Victor Worley, Kerin Owen, Michelle and Lorrayne Mallott, great grandchildren, Victoria Worley, Elijah and Henry Owen. A service celebrating Mrs. Johnson’s life will be 11am, Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 with a visitation beginning at 10am at Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Ave. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Gary Sinise Foundation.
