She was born on December 2, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late E.L. and Mary Sue Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mable Tullos.
Mary Alice was a devoted member of Robert E. Spillman Chapter #550 and a Past Matron of Marion Chapter #572, Order of the Eastern Star. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord deeply and was a devoted Christian woman whose kindness and strength touched many.
She had a vibrant personality and was truly sassy and full of life. Mary Alice loved Elvis, enjoyed going to the beach, crocheting, and caring for her animals. She especially delighted in lovingly aggravating her daughter, a reflection of her playful spirit and deep love for her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Life and her fiancé, Jeremiah Byrd; her granddaughter, Magan Life; and her brother, Maury Phillips and his wife, Barbara.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday, February 16 at Family Funeral Care 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
