Mary Carolyn Mays

Mary Carolyn Gill Mays, 89, went to heaven after receiving compassionate care at Methodist Germantown Hospital on May 27, 2014. She was a resident of Ave Maria Home for 15 years and loved participating in many events. Mary Carolyn was a loving mother and homemaker but also was an accomplished pianist, organ player and a lover of art.

Mary Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Mays, Sr of 45 years. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Sherry Edmundson(David) of Destin, FL; Barbara Spinosa (Philip)of Germantown, TN; three sons, William C. Mays, Jr.(Sandra) of Asheville, NC, John Remy Mays(Barbara) of Charleston, SC, James Mays of Asheville, NC; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday at 12:00 noon at St. Ann Catholic Church with Mass at 1:00 PM, followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
