Mary Helen Morgan "Nanny", age 92, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 after a short illness. Mary was born in Ackerman, MS on May 2, 1929. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Gladys Hodges and her husband of 69 years, Clyde Austin Morgan.
Mrs. Morgan was a longtime member of Leawood "Macon" Baptist Church and currently attended Eads Baptist Church. Mary worked for Kimberly Clark, Crossing Guard for Memphis City Schools, Bus Driver for Shelby County Schools and as a driver for Colonial Assisted Living.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ricky (Pam) Morgan of Bartlett, TN and Nancy (Larry) Hill of Bartlett, TN; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; her sister, Barenice Morgan of Memphis, TN; her brother, Hugh Hodges of Collierville, TN as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Morgan's visitation will be on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 9:00 am until 10am at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122. Immediately following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 10:30am at Memorial Gardens Cemetery located on 3700 North Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to Eads Baptist Church or Bartlett Baptist Church.
