Mary Lois Newsom

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years James Newsom; her parents Charlie and Onie Scott; her sibling's Robert Scott, Willodean Scott, Arvel Scott, Aultie Walker (JT), Floyd Scott (Alice), Charles Walter (Shorty) Scott (Elizabeth), Warren Scott (Betty), Lester Scott (Jessie), Charles Scott, Jr.

Remaining sibling Bobby Scott (Rosa). Three children Pat Mount (Kurt-deceased), Vickie Hines (Rick), Keith Newsom. Six grandchildren Michele Hubbard (Kenny), Melissa Mullins (Ben), Stacey Pittman (Doug), Alicia Roberts, Nicholas Newsom, Kendall Beasley (Nick). Six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mary was a homemaker, excellent cook, she loved to garden, can, and make fresh preserves and jellies. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, Mamaw, Mimi, GiGi and friend. She loved her church, pastor and staff and all her many friends she made through the years.

The visitation / funeral will be Tuesday March 7, 2023, at Christ Church, 5955 Yale Rd., Bartlett, TN. 38134.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 through 11:30 with services beginning at 11:30. Graveside to follow service at Memphis Memory Gardens.

The family has requested all memorials / donations be sent to Christ Church in Bartlett, TN.
