Maureen Monday

Maureen Monday, 91, of Memphis, TN, died on May 6th, 2023. She was born on July 30th, 1931 in Wynne AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Monday, her parents, Joseph and Gertrude Guy, as well as her five brothers and one sister. Maureen is survived by her son, David "Rick" Monday as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was dearly loved by all who knew her.

For 72 years, Maureen was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and dedicated her life to doing the will of her father in heaven, Jehovah.

She loved all of her friends as family which was evident by the multitude of pictures displayed around her home of her loved ones - both friends and family together. Maureen especially loved the babies and lit up every time she saw them.

She was a very hardworking and generous person throughout her lifetime and gave from the heart not for recognition nor desiring anything in return. In fact, most people never knew the extent of her kindness.

Maureen will be dearly missed and we all look forward to her waking up in God's beautiful new world.

Rev 21:3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

The family will receive friends for Maureen, Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM until the services at 2:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. Food and fellowship will be provided Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM following the services, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122.
