Living a life that was uniquely hers, Michelle was a beloved daughter, sister, twin, cousin, niece, aunt, friend, and a very special part of her family. She loved deeply, and if you were one of her people, you knew it. She was fiercely loved, completely one of a kind, and will be missed more than words can express.
Life with Michelle came with plenty of laughter. She kept everyone on their toes, told it like it was, and could make you laugh without even trying. You never had to wonder what she was thinking or whether she liked something-or didn’t. She was funny, full of personality and had a way of making sure everyone around her knew exactly what she thought.
She cared for her people deeply and wanted to know a full report of what was going on with them. You could tell her about your day and what you’d done, but eventually the important question came. “Well, what did you eat?” and she expected a detailed answer.
Michelle loved listening to music and was a loyal fan of the Memphis Tigers and Memphis Grizzlies. Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy were also favorites, and she was always ready to settle in and watch.
Birthdays and Christmas were serious business when there were wrapped presents involved. The anticipation, the surprise, and finding out what was inside brought her so much joy. But Christmas wasn’t always about what she received. Michelle also loved picking out gifts for the Angel Tree, knowing she was helping make Christmas morning happier for someone else. Beneath that tell-it-like-it-is personality was a tender heart that cared deeply for others.
Michelle always wanted to be a dancer. While she may not have had the chance on this earth, her family takes great comfort that those limitations were left behind the moment she went home. We rejoice knowing she is with Jesus- fully healed and fully whole.
Michelle is survived by her sisters Kristy and Melissa (Adam), her nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, and special caregivers and housemates. She was proceeded in death by both her parents, Richard and Diana Millican and her grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held at Family Funeral Care on September 20, 2026, with visitation at 3:00 and a service following at 4:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Michelle with a donation to United Cerebral Palsy or to a local organization, Shepherd’s Haven serving those with disabilities.
