

Mildred Acred Hill, of Memphis, Tennessee, died in the morning hours of July 26th, 2016. Millie was born to Fred and Ethel Sheesley on February 10, 1937. Millie grew up in Ellendale TN and attended Bartlett High and Memphis University. She was a dedicated mother and music teacher. Mille taught elementary music for Memphis City Schools for twenty-seven years; she was one of the Memphis’ original Orff music teachers. Millie enjoyed gardening, piano and choir. She was a longtime member of Mullins United Methodist Church.
The family cordially invites you to visitation with Millie’s family on Friday evening the 29th of July from five o’clock until eight o’clock at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. We will celebrate her life on Saturday morning the 30th of July at ten o’clock at Mullins United Methodist Church, 4 N Mendenhall, Memphis, TN 38117.
Millie was preceded in death by her mother Ethel Sheesley, her father Fred Sheesley and brother William Sheesley. Millie is survived by her husband of 18 years Eugene Hill; children Miles Acred of Memphis, Tennessee, Joy Brown of Warner Robins, Georgia, Megan Kuehl of Arlington, Texas, and Jeff Acred of Washington Township, Ohio; step son Reverend Tony Hill of De Witt, Arkansas; sisters Madge Bradford of Rosemark, Tennessee and Freda Davis of Bartlett, Tennessee; Grandchildren, Macy Boortz, Morgan Threat, Mckenzie Kuehl, Duncan Brown, Daniel Brown, Ella Acred and Lillie Acred; and Great grandchildren Madison McCawley, Jaiden Threat, Camden Threat and Grayson Boortz.
