Love Vernice and Ferrell Hunter of Tunica, Ms

We thank God for blessing our family with Mrs. Mildred Johnson. We offer heartfelt sympathy and condolences to her children, siblings, grandchildren, and friends.

She was the family matriarch who was well respected and admired.

Cousin Mildred Johnson has always been a force for justice and transparency. She had an amazing ability to make others laugh. She was unapologetic about her opinions, but also loved, unapologetically. She was a genuine soul with quick observation and wit. She will be forever cherished in our memories and our hearts. We honor her life and legacy. May you take your rest as we bid you farewell until we meet again.

Grandma, losing you is a pain I don’t think words will ever fully be able to explain. You were such an important part of my life, and I will forever cherish every memory, every conversation, every laugh, and every moment I was blessed to have with you.

Being able to help care for you during your final days is something I will carry in my heart forever. As hard as it was to see you go, I’m grateful that I was able to be there for you, love on you, comfort you, and care for you when you needed it most. You spent so much of your life loving and caring for the people around you, and being able to give even a little of that love back to you meant more to me than I can say.

I wish we could have had more time, but I thank God for every moment He gave me with you. Your love, your strength, and everything you taught me will continue to live through me. I’ll miss you more than words can express, Grandma. I love you always, and I’ll carry you with me for the rest of my life. ❤️🙏🏾

My sweet "Nana"....although it's hard to say goodbye, I'm extremely grateful to have had my granny for 50 years of my life. Her humor, love, kindness and caring spirit will never be forgotten. She always made me feel loved and encouraged me to do well and be sweet. She was always there when things were not so good. I will miss her calling me at work to order something from Amazon lol! I will miss her saying my name in a sweet voice... "La--Tor-ie" and she said it with melody. My granny loved me and she knew how much I loved her! Rest well my Nana Poo!
