Mildred Olivia Cave Martin

Mildred Olivia Martin, 92, a homemaker of Memphis, Tennessee, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where she was in Carolyn Higginbotham’s Sunday School Class. The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 6 from eleven o’clock in the morning until funeral services begin at one o’clock in the afternoon at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 5599 Poplar Avenue. Bro. Jack May will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband Stanley P. Martin, brother Jack Cave and great-granddaughter April Michele Pera. She is survived by her daughters Carole Bishop Carter of Lakeland, Shirley B. Hirsch (Rudolf) of Memphis and Linda Pera (Charles) of Barton, MS; sisters Joanne Freeman, Clarice Jarrett, and Rebecca Hollobaugh; brothers Walter Cave, Howard Cave and Don Cave; grandchildren Denise Nevels (Randy), Vincent Keith Carter (Dana), Andy Pera, Rich Pera, Mike Hughes, Michelle Barrett, and Jennifer Hirsch; great-grandchildren Justin & Jonathan Nevels, Logan & Madison Barrett, Brandon, Taylor & Tyler Carter; and great-great-granddaughter Olivia Grace Barrett.
