Mildred Ransom

Mildred Ferrante Ransom, 85, of Germantown, TN, died February 3, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born and raised in Memphis, a graduate of Catholic High School and loving wife of George William "Bill" Ransom who preceded her in death. Mrs. Ransom was a member of Kingsway Christian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Toni Ritter of Germantown; son, Rick Ransom of Germantown and daughter-in-law, Stacy Ransom of Louisville, KY; granddaughter, Kim Spencer (Rod) of Cordova; great-grandchildren, Katie, Kellie, Kerri and Kevin; and great-great-grandchildren, Laila and Kaylee. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Kingsway Christian Church or Baptist Memorial Hospital. The family wants to acknowledge the dedication and graciousness of doctors, nurses and the entire Baptist family at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
