Myrtle "Nicky" Regenold

Myrtle LeDora Nick ”Nicky” Regenold, 90, died January 19, 2012 at her home in Memphis, Tennessee. Born in Erie, PA on April 9, 1921 to George E. & Lola Osborn Nick; Mrs. Regenold graduated from Academy High School class of 1939 and then graduated from Hamot Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1942 all in Erie. She then joined the Red Cross Nursing Service and Naval Reserve Nurse Corp. during World War II. She retired as an Orthopedic Nurse from W. Campbell Clinic and Baptist Memorial Hospital. Her family will receive guests and friends on Monday, January 23 from 5PM – 7PM and funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 24 beginning at 10AM all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 5599 Poplar Avenue. Services will conclude with honors for her naval services. Beside her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her brother Richard E. Nick. She is survived by her four sons William S. Regenold, III (Jeanne) of Piperton, TN, Timothy N. Regenold (Patty) of Memphis, Thomas E. Regenold of Cordova and Robert E. Regenold of Telluride, CO; sister Dorothy Ann Pavkov of McKean, PA; brother Robert W. Nick of Waterford, PA; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Memphis Ronald McDonald House.
