November 23, 1930May 10, 2018

Norma Lee Seifert was born on November 23, 1930 in Kingman, Kansas and passed away peacefully May 10. 2018. Her education began in a one-room schoolhouse. Then she attended Bethany College and graduated from Kansas State University.

She met the love of her life, Robert Paul Seifert, when they were children. After they were married in 1949, they enjoyed 68 wonderful years together. After graduating from college, they settled in Princeton, Indiana, where Bob began working with Pioneer Hi-Bred Corn Company. From Indiana, they moved to Union City, Tennessee, then to Des Moines, Iowa, and then they retired in 1995 to Collierville.

While raising three children, she worked as a piano teacher and served as a church organist in several churches. Norma was very active in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), serving as an officer at the local, state and national level. She also served multiple terms on the Board of Concerned Women for America (CWA). Wherever she and Bob lived, Norma was always active in her church and had a profound influence on the faith of her family and friends. She and Bob have been faithful members of Central Church in Collierville.

She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Seifert; her sister, Lila Levin (Jon); three children, Jill Peak (Gerry), Rob Seifert (JoAnn) and Tanna Hanger (Greg); eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held Monday, May 14th, at 9 a.m., followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. at Central Church, Collierville. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the American Heart Association or Central Church.

My memories of dear Norma encompass over 9 years of meeting at her home every month for God and Country Prayer Circle . We never missed a month in any season. Praying the scripture for our Leaders, their families, and the administration was our privilege . Praying for members of the armed forces was joy . I weep and rejoice . This was a deep shock. I have been in AL this week speaking . Our prayer group was to meet Tuesday 5/13 for monthly prayer. She was an amazing friend who lived her faith. I loved her but I know she is more alive than ever now... Home with Jesus. Acts 17:28 My time with her was cherished. Billie Cash
