Norman M. Whitfield 91, of Memphis, passed away December 11, 2013. Norman is survived by his wife of 64 years, Estelle; daughters, Lynn Whitfield and Kathy Carroll (John); grandsons, Chad and Kevin Carroll, and great granddaughter, Ryleigh Carroll. Norman was a member of White Station Church of Christ. He was a very unselfish, thoughtful husband and dedicated family man. Norman was a W.W.II, U.S. Marine Corps. veteran in Pacific Theatre. He retired from 1st Tennessee Bank, after working there 36 years. Visitation will be Monday, December 16 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 6 p.m.. Burial will be Tuesday at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 10:15 a.m.
