

Olga Charlene Norwood, known for the last 61 years as Olga Bryan, passed
away on June 28, 2015. The cause of death was intractable seizure
activity. She attended and graduated from Floyd T. Binford High School in
Duck Hill in 1949. Married to Arthur Aaron (Double A) Bryan in September
of 1953 in Memphis, TN, she became a widow in 2002. They adopted 2
children, Mike and Amye. Amye died in 2013. Surviving loved ones are
Mike & Angela Bryan (son and daughter-in-law), Ben, Katelin, Isaac and
Luke Bryan, Taylor and Robert Cook and Jessica Spence (grandchildren),
Jack and Lillian Bryan (great grandchildren), Bonnie (sister), along with
numerous cousins and their families, and nieces and nephews and their
families. Working most of her life as a respected banker, Olga was a Vice
President and Branch Manager at Leader Federal Bank, which later
became Union Planters Bank. She was president of the Memphis Quota
Club, and leader among other professional women in her community. She
attended Covenant Baptist Church in Germantown, up until 10 years ago,
when she moved to Hendersonville, TN to be close to her son and his
family. In her youth, she played basketball, as did her sisters. She had a
sense of style and fashion, and was very particular about her appearance,
even at the age of 83. Being an avid cook, she loved knowing how much
others enjoyed her food creations. She was known by her sweet smile that
could light up a room! She will be missed. The family of Olga Bryan is

using the same note. Receiving of friends will be held at Memphis Funeral
Home on Poplar Ave, on Friday, July 10 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral
services will be on Saturday, July 11 at 2:00 pm. Graveside service will
follow at Memorial Gardens, and will be for family only.
